Available Services and Pricing*
All horses must arrive with payment for first month’s Board and Training, a current negative Coggins test and copies of registration papers.
All horses are required to be up to date on vaccinations. We require EWT, Flu/Rhino, Strangles, Rabies, Potomac Horse Fever and West Nile vaccinations. We encourage the owner to have these done prior to arrival. If not given prior to arrival or no record is provided, SLF will have any necessary vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian who will bill the owner accordingly.
Full TrainingBoard Included
- Full training includes board, training and one non-transferable lesson per week. Lessons may not be “banked” and are for owners to use on their own horses. Horses MUST be in full training for at least 90 days prior to their first show in order to qualify for showing. Full training is required for all Show Horses at SLF and is appropriate for any horse learning to ride or drive. Young horses with little or no training are encouraged to start full training as early as November or December to be properly prepared for the coming show season.
Partial TrainingBoard Included
- Your horse is worked 3-4 days/week. This program includes board and daily turnout. It is an ideal program for show horses in the off season, giving them a mental and physical break while still offering them the routine and structure they are accustomed to. It is also a great program for horses that need rehabilitation from sickness or injury, busy owners that can’t make it out to the barn as much as they would like, or owners with a new horse that would like the help and support of professionals while they get to know each other. Lessons are not included in this program. This is a horse conditioning program.
